Bob Arum has said that he believes Deontay Wilder will win the fight against Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight title if it takes place.
Arum believes that Usyk, who has a perfect record of 20-0 with 13 knockouts, is too tiny to compete with Wilder, who is a former WBC heavyweight champion, and that Usyk does not punch like Wilder.
Eddie Hearn, promoter for Matchroom Boxing, believes that Deontay Wilder (42-2-1, 41 KOs) would not win a round against Oleksandr Usyk. Arum feels strange.
He believes that Wilder strikes with such power that he will eventually connect with one of his huge blows against Usyk, which will cause the Ukrainian to be stopped. Due to the fact that Usyk has said that he only intends on competing three more times before retiring, it is very doubtful that the two would ever face one other in a bout.
He would want to have his last fight in Ukraine against Tyson Fury, Canelo Alvarez, and another opponent who has not yet been chosen.
BOB ARUM

Bob Arum, when told that Eddie Hearn said that Deontay Wilder won’t win a round against Oleksandr Usyk, responded to Fighthype by saying, “Wilder wouldn’t win a round, but I wouldn’t wish him on my worst enemy because Wilder, as he showed against Tyson Fury, is a tough, tough out.” This was in response to Eddie Hearn’s statement that Wilder won’t win a round against Us
“Fury was dominating him until Wilder knocked Fury down twice, at which point Fury climbed back up and knocked Wilder out. ” Wilder is a boxer who is significantly underappreciated.
“I believe that Wilder is too big for Usyk, and that Usyk does not hit as hard as Wilder does. In that fight, I have Wilder winning.
It might be difficult to differentiate punchers from various times. Is it true that he was a more powerful puncher than Earnie Shavers? It’s difficult to say for sure. Someone who can pack a greater punch than George Foreman? It’s difficult to say for sure. According to Arum, “I’d say for this age, Deontay Wilder is, next to Tyson Fury, the finest puncher in the heavyweight category.”
Wilder told Fighthype that everyone is entitled to their own view on Hearn’s forecast that he won’t win a round against Usyk. Wilder was responding to Hearn’s prediction that he won’t win a round. “I cannot change his viewpoint, nor can I change the opinion of anybody else.
“Let’s wait and see what unfolds. It’s possible that [Hearn] feels a little bit sour since his fighter [Anthony Joshua] lost. [Hearn’s] boxer [Anthony Joshua] lost. Who is to say? said Wilder.
Regarding the possibility that Usyk would be there for Wilder’s fight against Robert Helenius on October 15th, Wilder said, “I heard Usyk is going to be there.”
