Trainer Robert Garcia has volunteered to assist former four-division world champion Adrien ‘The Problem’ Broner in regaining his footing by inviting him to his gym and camp home.
Garcia claims he has no intention of becoming Broner’s trainer. He desires to assist him. Broner recently withdrew from his bout against Omar Figuerora Jr. due to mental health concerns, and it is unknown when he will return to the ring.
Broner has not fought in the last 19 months, and it is probable that he may not return this year. At this stage in his career, Broner’s chances of becoming a world champion again are remote.
Since he went up to welterweight a decade ago, he has not seemed the same, and it is ridiculous to expect he can return to the lightweight or super featherweight classes. These were Broner’s most successful weight classes.
Robert is familiar with the 33-year-old Broner (34-4-1, 24 KOs) and believes he is misunderstood by the media and boxing fans, who perceive him as conceited.
Broner’s once-promising career has declined dramatically over the last decade, particularly after 2017. He has only fought five times in the last five years, and he has arguably not won a fight since 2016.
“I know him in person. He is a wonderful guy. Robert Garcia told Fighthype of Adrien Broner, “I know the media and those who don’t know him may see him as arrogant and dislike him, but he’s a terrific guy.”

“I’ve spent hours conversing with him here in Las Vegas. He is a wonderful guy. He is experiencing some personal difficulties.
I hope he recovers from it. I would welcome his presence at my training camp. Not so that I could coach him, but so that he might recuperate and improve.
“Being around by world-class boxers such as Jesse Rodriguez and Jose Ramirez. Not because I want to train him, but because I want him to be able to do something new. Get away from what he is used to, and workout and hang out at my camp home.
“It would likely be of great assistance to him. If he is agreeable, I would be delighted to welcome him to my training camp so he can recuperate.
“There have been some issues with our warriors. We just don’t inform the media, but several of my guys have also had mental issues. We address it. They improve as a result of our knowledge on how to address the issue. They resume their pursuit of world championships in the future.
